The Vice Chancellor, Fr (Dr.) Stephen Mavely has been awarded with the ‘100 Most Influential Vice-Chancellors’ award in Asia-Pacific region by World Education Congress, held on 23rd June, 2016 at Taj Lands End, Mumbai.

The award was received by Mr. Raunak Singh Ahluwalia, Executive Director of DBU Global who attended the event on behalf of the Vice Chancellor.

The selection process for this award was based on the criteria of strategic perspective, support infrastructure, future orientation, research citations, track record, integrity and ethics, ability for sustainable education and evaluation approach.

The theme of World Education Congress this year was “Quality Education for Sustainable and Inclusive Growth”. At the Congress, participants also had an open discussion on “Evolving Trends in Education” and examined the modern as well as the traditional knowledge system.  Further, the Congress also explored how education can help develop mental, emotional and physical skills to help facilitate personal excellence as well as psychological and socio-economic well being, in today’s fast changing world.
