The first ADBU-Research Lecture in the new academic year 2013-14 was held on Friday, 2nd August. This lecture was eight in a series of lectures organized every Friday by Research Coordinator Prof. JN Vishwakarma.
“The lecture is exclusively for the faculty members and research scholars to present their scientific research findings and exchange or critique ideas,” said Prof. Vishwakarma.
“We should not hesitate to pick holes in the arguments of the presentation, and if need be pull the legs of the presenter, to sharpen their
wits,” he said explaining the rationale behind the lecture series.
Some 40 faculty members including the Vice-Chancellor and Registrar were present and took part in the discussions.
Prof. Hemashree Bordoloi made her presentation on: “Protein structure prediction using artificial neural network,” drawing applause from the faculty.
