The University is planning to join hands with Centre of Plasma Physics – Institute for Plasma Research (CPP-IPR), Sonapur, Assam (a research centre of Institute for Plasma Research (IPR), Gandhinagar, Gujarat) in different academic aspects.

The areas for collaboration were discussed in a meeting held between the Vice Chancellor Fr. (Dr) Stephen Mavely and Dr. M. Kakati of Centre of Plasma Physics on 4th of December at the Vice Chancellor’s Office, Azara Campus, in the presence of other members of the University and CPP-IPR.

CPP-IPR will hold a summer school for masters and doctoral students of Basic Sciences with the support of Assam Don Bosco University during the mid-summer of 2016. Also a field trip of the M.Sc. students of the university to CPP-IPR.

The meeting also discusse the possibilities of joint research proposals and joint guidance of doctoral students. A team of faculty members from the University will visit the CPP-IPR next month to carry forward the proposed collaboration.
