Advertisement for position of Project Associate-1 in DST – SERB funded Project

Title of the Project:

Exploring the potential of native aromagenic organisms in the augmentation of the fragrance of Assam agarwood by fermentation
Funding details: DST SERB: Core Research Grant ( CRG/2018/003308)
Duration: 11 months and renewable based on performance and /or co-terminus with the project sanctioned for 3 years
 

Emoluments:

Rs. 31,000/- per month for first two years and 35,000/- for the third year subject to availability of funds in the project (HRA will be admissible as per rules of DST and ADBU)
 

 

Eligibility:

•     Candidate should not be more than 30 years of age

•     M.Sc. in Biosciences (Biotechnology/ Life Science/Biochemistry/ Microbiology/ Botany) with a minimum 70% marks or equivalent CGPA from recognised Indian university

 

 

Requisite Experience:

•     Experience in flavour and fragrance research will be preferred

•     Skills in laboratory techniques of bacteriology and mycology/ enzymology /analysis of fragrant volatiles (by GC-MS, etc.) is desirable

•     Written test and/or interview will be held tentatively on 21 October, 2019 at ADBU, Tapesia.
