The University made arrangements in all the Departments for witnessing the Prime Minister, Shri Narendra Modi’s Address at the laying of the Foundation stones for India’s first semiconductor fabrication facility in Dholera, Gujarat, and two Outsourced Semiconductor Assembly and Test (OSAT) facilities in Morigaon, Assam and Sanand, Gujarat. The PM’s address was shown in all the Departments at the University and over a thousand students watched it online. In addition, a good number of the Engineering students and teachers from the University attended the programme live at the venue in Marigaon on 13 March 2024.

India’s Techade – Chips for Vikshit Bharat is an initiative to strengthen the semiconductor facilities in India to foster sustainable development and job creation, enhance quality of life, and establish a strong presence in the global technology landscape.
