A workshop on Flower Arrangement was conducted by the Department of Hospitality and Hotel Administration on 16^th February 2024 at the Cenacle, Academic Block V with an aim to create awareness among hospitality students the importance of flowers in enhancing the beauty of a place.

Ms. Soma Lyngdoh, Assistant Professor at the Department started the session with a brief explanation on different elements and materials required in an aesthetic floral arrangement including flowers, containers, wrapping materials, baskets etc.

This was followed by a demonstration of various flower arrangement styles and techniques by Mr. Sabyasachi Banerjee and Ms. Soma Lyngdoh giving hands-on practice to the participants and some arrangements were prepared as hands on practice by the students.

Students of BSc Hospitality 6^th Semester and 2^nd Semester took part in the workshop along with some students from other departments.
