ADBU Cooperative Society of Assam Don Bosco University is extremely happy to announce an essay contest with the title:Youth Solidarity for Sustainable Development in Northeast India: Opportunities and Challenges

This essay contest is organized in an effort to harness the energy, creativity and initiative of the youth in understanding and promoting a culture of solidarity, cooperative living and sustainable development. It also aims to inspire the community to learn from the young minds and to think about how each of us can make a difference in the world. The background along with rules and guidelines of the contest is enclosed with this announcement. The contest is open to all students of undergraduate and post-graduate of all colleges/universities/ institutions located in Kamrup district, Assam. ADBU cooperative society is an initiative of the members of Assam Don Bosco University – students, staff and faculty, set up in the year 2015. It is a registered cooperative society under the Assam State cooperative society Act 2007. At present it is managing two consumer stores one at Azara campus, Guwahati and another at Tapesia campus, Sonapur to facilitate the basic requirements of the members of the university community. One of the emphases of the cooperative society is to generate awareness on cooperative living, cooperative forms of enterprise and its contribution in the national economy thereby inculcating the idea of cooperatives as a form of sustainable social enterprise which the youth of today can take up as one of the alternatives to employment.
