DBCET Football Team today

wins the coveted Dr.Debabrata Goswami Memorial Football Trophy, comfortably beating Assam Engineering College by 3-0 in the final.

The Inter- Engineering and Technical Institutions Football Tournament was organised by NEFTi (North East Forum for Technical Institutions).

Few minutes after the game began, DBCETs Deibanehbok Nongdhar beautifully scored a goal, sending the DBCET supporters frenzy and wild. AEC tried their best at equalizing the goal but could not get through the DBCET strong defense line.

It was around 20 minutes into the second half of the game when John Pyndapbiang scored the second goal for DBCET which was followed by another goal from Deibanehbok Nongdhar within few minutes. DBCET held their ground, defended their goal till the game ended.

Harket Khongsngi (3rd Sem, Civil)from DBCET was awarded Best Footballer of the Tournament.

A total of 9 Engineering Colleges participated in this tournament hosted by NITS, Mirza.
