Today, a six member team from Assam Don Bosco University met with Shri Tarun Gogoi, Hon’ble Chief Minister of Assam at his office and presented him with a cheque of Rs. 25000 collected from the students and faculty to provide relief for the victims of recent flood.
The Chief Minister was very happy to learn that around 60 students and faculty of Don Bosco University volunteered to help the flood victims and have been working at the flood affected area, contributing and distributing clothes, food and helping them rebuild make-shift houses.
Expressing his appreciation for efforts that the University has made, he said, “On behalf of the people of Assam, I deeply acknowledge the Assam Don Bosco University, Fr. Stephen Mavely and all the students. Don Bosco Society is always working for the society and I know they will continue it in the future also”.
