The Department of English conducted a Career Counseling Programme: Civil Services and Banking, in partnership with SMP IAS Academy, Guwahati, aided by Majestic Academy on 24 January 2023, as a part of its Three Year Academic Strategic Plans.

The focus of the counseling was on the inter-departmental final year students to help them choose alternative careers immediately after their graduation.

Mr. Kumar Prashant Sinha, Senior Faculty of Quantitative Aptitude & Logical Reasoning in Majestic Academy, Guwahati, Mr.Mrinmoy Baruah,faculty of  SPM IAS Academy & Majestic Academy and Mr. Abhisekh Sahu, from the management of Majestic Academy were the resource persons.

The counseling was substantiated with extensive presentation on different possible career openings that any graduate can choose followed by a healthy interactive session on the same matter.

133 students from the final year, Department of English, and 50 students from other departments participated in the event.
