The Department of Physics organized a Symposium on Advances in Nanomaterials and Nanotechnology on 7th October 2023.
The symposium commenced with a welcome speech by Dr. Debajyoti Dutta, Head, Department of Physics, who spoke on the importance of the symposium, knowledge and benefits that the participants can gather from the symposium.
The first secession of the symposium started with valedictory speeches by Dr. Arabinda Baruah, Assistant Professor, Department of Chemistry, Gauhati University on “Recent Advancements in Two Dimensional Nanomaterials,” and “Nanostructures around us,’ by Dr. Nirab Adhikari, Scientific Officer, IASST.
In the second session after lunch, Dr. Rashi Borgohain, Associate Professor, Department of Electronics and Communication Engineering, Assam Engineering College delivered a talk on “Nanostructured Sensors.” The symposium ended with a valedictory session at 4:30 p.m.
