On 13 March 2023, the Department of Social Work organized a lecture on ‘Child Rights and Child Protection: International Perspective’ with an aim to highlight the relevance of international framework on child rights in the context of India and Germany. Prof. Ursula Fasselt from Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences was the resource person.

Prof. Fasselt shared current status of Child Protection and Violation of Child Rights in Germany and Child Protection Module which was designed by Frankfurt University of Applied Sciences. This was followed by a discussion on Child Protection and various ways in which Child Rights can be violated in the Indian context.

The programme was attended by Second Semester students of Masters in Social Work.
