A batch of 12 students of Electronics and Communication Engineering accompanied by two faculty members visited the APRO Training School, Jalukbari on 28 April 2023 to have a better appreciation of practical applications of theoretical concepts.

A whole one-day programme was prepared by the organisation, which was coordinated by Inspector Mr. Nayan Sarma. The programme started from 10:30 am with introduction and briefing on APRO by Mr. Sanjay Changkakoti, DSP, Assam Police Radio Operator. The program was followed by demonstration and explanation on Morse Code by Mr. Golap Kalita, ASI (APRO), further taken over by Mr. Santiram Kalita, Fitter (SI) and Mr. Mantu Ram Das, Fitter (SI), for demonstration, explanation, and interaction session on the Battery Workshop. Post lunch, the session was taken further by Inspector, Mr. Chitramohan Rabha who briefed the students about HF/VHF/UHF/Microwave Communication, with a lot of interactions with the students.
